Risor Shantykoor

Risør Shantykor was started in 1936 by sailors who had actually been working on board tall ships. Today’s choir consists of 10 jolly singers from different backgrounds, with one thing in common, the joy of singing! They have released an LP and 2 CD’s and they sing all over southern Norway. Risor Shantykor have taken part in festivals in Denmark, Poland, Germany, France and we are delighted to welcome them to Folk On The Dock, in Liverpool.
